Regenerate logoIn HIYFC we have a desire to enable older adults who may have time available to support young people in their school or community context.  HIYFC seesk to encourage links between school and the strengths, skills and experiences of people in their local communities.

We hope to build up a team of older adults who lovingly share friendship and experience with young people.
Depending on the gifts and skills of the person they might be offering encouragement in a one-to-one session, playing chess or sharing how school days/fashion etc has changed over time. The aim is to enacourage intergenerational engagement in our communities.

Are you interested?  We have opportunities to get involved in both school and in the After School Club at CYC. We would love to hear from you!

frontlineFrontline is our volunteer opportunity. This is a time of searching, stretching and serving, and could be for a month, 6 months or for a year.

Volunteers can help with schools work, community work or wherever opportunities arise. While undergoing training and supervision, they could be directly involved with impacting the lives of young people.

HIYFC is keen to have volunteers to work with our Project Development Worker in the local setting.  This looks to help the volunteer to grow in their gifts and calling.  Come and develop your skills and strengths in supporting young people in the community.

“In my time here I have been so touched and so blessed to witness a ministry that God is using to massively impact the young people of Inverness with his love.”
Mike - Placement from Moorlands College.

”Throughout my time here I’ve learnt an incredible amount. I’m beginning to understand more and more how the radical call of Christ is lived out here and now.” Andy - Part of a post graduate year out.
