‘Urban’ is our volunteer opportunity for people to work along side YFC’s mission. Its a time for searching, stretching and serving. Weather its a month, 6 months or a year.
Our volunteers help with the schools work, street work, and whatever other opportunities God puts in our way. They will directly be involved in impacting the lives of young people in Merkinch and Dalneigh, (two neighborhoods in Inverness). They will also become part of Reverb.

“I’ve grown up so much this year, it’s unbelievable. Inverness High School is so different to the school I went to and the community is very different to where I grew up and so I’ve been taken out of my comfort zone many times, and each time I learn something new about who I am and how I can better serve this area. I’ve learned practical things like being able to do my own washing, but I’ve also learned more about who I am in God and what God’s purpose for my life is. More than anything, I’ve learned that God has blessed me so that I can be a blessing on others. This year I’ve learned so much about missional church and it has changed the way I think about everything. It’s not all about setting up programs and inviting people to Christian events; it’s about going to where the people are and serving their needs. I could go on and on about all the things I’ve learned, but there are just too many to list out.”
